BAND CONTEST
NEW DATE SET. (Per Press Association. —•Copyright.) WELLINGTON, This Day. At the animal meeting of the Wellington Band Contest Committee, the president, Mr H. D. Bennett, stated that jlhe abandoned contest would he held in Wellington in February next.
Mr Bennett said arrangements for the single control of New Zealand bands had been finalised and the old North Island and South Island associations had been dissolved in favour of one body, with headquarters in
Wellington. Mr .1. J. Kelly, of New South Wales, lias been appointed', adjudicator for the contest, with Mr A. Schuack as assistant. The programme provides for cash prizes amounting to £307 for A. grade tests, and £179 for B grade, with £75 for the quick-step competition.
