VACATION SPOILED
WIDESPREAD RAIN, (Received 9 a.m.) LONDON, April '6. The Easter holidays in England were largely spoilt by widespread rain. It is estimated that tens .of thousands of pounds were lost at seaside resorts owing to the scarcity of visiting holiday-makers. It is a growing demand at these resorts for a fixed Easter at a period when reasonably seasonable weather can be expected.
