LABOURER KILLED
COLLIDED WITH CAR. (Per Press Association. —Copyright.) HAWEEA, This Day. A resident of Patea, Air, Wm. Hansen, aged about 55, a wharf labourer, was killed on the Manawapou River bridge, on the main South Road, shortly before noon yesterday, when the motor cycle he was riding collided with a car driven by a Maori, J. Rowe, of Patea, who was proceeding to the Hawera trotting meeting with two companions. Mr Hansen was returning alone to Patea from To Roti, near Hawera, where he had spent the week-end with his wife.
