REMARKABLE ESCAPE

While endeavouring to save her child from falling out of a motor oar, the door of which by some means swung open, Airs S. McJarrow, of Tutaenui, Marton, had -a narrow escape from death. When returning home, by some means the -door swung open and in endeavouring to save the child from falling out -Mrs McJarrow lost control of the ear which careered -up -a bank, somersaulted twice in mid-air and came to rest on its wheels on the road. Fortunately the child was thrown clear before the car overturned, but Airs McJarrow went with the car. Both -Mrs -McJarrow and her son miraculously escaped injury, suffering only from bruises. The ear is extensively damaged, the body being badly battorot*. and the chassis strained,
