TERRIFIC TEMPEST
BA GHALIN COAST SWEPT. OVER 200 VICTIMS CLAIMED. (Received 10.23 a.m.) TOKIO, May 4. Last night the severest storm in history devastated the Japanese half of Saghalin, inflicting the . heaviest ■losses on land and sea. It is estimated that 150 Japanese fishermen were lost. The total damage is placed at 15,000,000 yen, , The latest computation is that 220 lives were lost altogether. Only 25 vessels of the large fishing fleet were rescued.
