CHAMPION BEATEN. (Received 30 a.m.) SYDNEY, Monday. At the Sydney Stadium, Benny Golden, 9.8 J, defeated Norman Gillespie, 9.5, the lightweight champion, on a technical knock-out. Golden was too clever. The referee persuaded Gillespie. to withdraw with an eye badly cut.
