COAL DISPUTE
MINERS APPROACH OWNERS. ONE POINT REPORTED WAIVED. MEN WITHOUT RESOURCES. (Received 8.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, May o. Still another attempt to settle the coal dispute is going on in Sydney between parties of miners’ loaders, who approached the owners to obtain an assurance that there would be no Victimisation, and that owners will waive their right “to hire and fire.” It is understood that the owners have assented and negotiations upon other points are still proceeding. It is popularly believed that the miners are at the end of their resources.
