With the announcement today of the bankruptcy of the International Combustion .Engineering Corporation, with a capital of £8,600,000, the third largest insolvency of the week occurred. The American Piano Company, one of the largest producers of instruments in America,, with a capital in excess of £600,009, and the Sonora Corporation, a noted producer of phonographic devices, were the other concerns involv ed. *
The Combustion firm is reported to be solvent, but unable fo obtain: tlio necessary capital. The concern was placed 'in receivership in equity, following an- application filed by the Bethlehem Steel Company of Chicago.
