In connection with tho rescue of Nurse Calder from drowning at St, Clair Beach by Richard Caxon and Ivan Turnbull, it is ascertained that Turnbull and several other men ran to the reel house but found the place locked and they had to burst in the door. ,
Eventually, the life line was obtained and Turnbull swam out. with it and brought iu Coxon and Miss Calder.
It is stated that not only was the door of the reel house locked, but the life line itself was not properly attached, nor was the belt made fastThus, there was a delay which might have ended tragically.
