Lisa Karl and Albert Clariwe, gypsies, have been condemned to the guillotine for murdering an elderly woman, a keeper of a drinking shop near Rheims, with incredible savagery.
The woman lived alone in a clay hut. Lisa and Albert knocked at the door and when the woman came out, they beheaded her, looted hex hut and poured paraffin on the body. The proceeds of the murder amounted to £7,
