ONERAHI TOWN BOARD
MONTHLY MEETLX G. The usual monthly meeting of the Onerahi Town Bond was held on Tuesday evening, CT. .10. L, Whimp presiding. With reference to the removal of the railway gates to allow traffic access to the foreshore through the railway yard, the Minister of Railways replied that the matter was in hand. The ,Whangarei Harbour Regatta Association applied for permission to erect booths, etc., on the waterfront in connection with the regatta. It was decided to grant permission on the same terms as last year, the matter being left iu the hands of Or. Weir. Matters concerning tfie flood damage on the Onerahi-Tama.terau Bpad and also the metalling of the route, were left in the hands of the chairman to interview the member for .the district. The chairman was also instructed to confer with Mr R. R. Menzies, engineer of the Public Worses Depart" went, and the member for the district, concerning grants for improvements at the Domain. The board having been apprised that Onerahi yas cut out from the operations of the State Advances Department, Mr A. J. Murdoch, MJP. for Marsden, was communicated with, and a reply was received abating that any applications from the Onerahi Town District would be considered on their merits. The supervisors' report was adopted. A number of general improvements were authorised and .Crs, Wilkinson and Weir yere appointed supervisors for the current month.
