At the wool sales today a catalogue of 7978 bales was offered to a full bench of buyers. Keen interest was shown. Prices for medium crossbreds showed considerable advance on brokers’ -ideas of values. Bidding was exceptionally keen at materially lower prices than March closing rates, Bradford not operating to any extent. Support is coming from France, Russia and Tasmania.

Superior crossbred, light in condition and of good colour, made KUd to A few extra super lines were slightly higher. Good style Romneys made 113 dto 13d. Merinos, lambs’ wool ami halfbreds were stagnant.
