LONDON, November 11, The First Lord of the Admiralty, !r A. V. Alexander, stated in the .ouse of Commons that the Governont had decided to slow down work * the Singapore base as much as poshlc, pending the Five-Power Naval onfcrcncc.
Mr F. O. Penny (Co;i., Kingston-on-haines) asked whether the Dominions ad been consulted, and Mr Alexander nte.i that, rhev had been informed.
