It is now learned that direct word has been received from London /which indicates that Mr MacDonald will be arriving in Washington in the first week in October and is expected to remain about a fortnight. , Plans for his reception, are being made, but it has not been .determined whether he will be the guest of President Hoover or Sir Esme Howard, the British Ambassador,
