NEXT WAR ARENA., APPEAL' TO TRADE UNIONS. PACIFIC CONGRESS OPENS. (Australian Press Association.) (Received 8.51 a.m.) ’ ’ MOSCOW, August 21. Delegates from eight countries are attending the Congress of Pacific Ocean Trade Unions at Vladivostok. The Australian representatives are Messrs Roelse, O’Brien and Hannet. ; In opening the congress, M. Lazoviky, general secretary to the International of Trade Unions, declared that Russia, which-, was threatened from, the east of the Pacific, would be the ’arena of a coming struggle between- great imperial states. Calling bn the delegates to fight th 6 growing _mena.ee of war, he said that the last war had produced three revolutions. The next war would produce even more proletarian revolts.
