(Per Press Association,—Copyright.) CHRISTCHURCH This Day. Armed with a pea. rifle or air gun, some person, during the last week, has subjected the Normal School building to ft hail of bullets, smashing 18 win-
dow panes. While a class of Training College students wore attending a lecture at the school on the afternoon of Thursday last, a missile struck a window of the room they were in with considerable force, sending a shower of glass over the occupants, • Yesterday it was reported that since the discovery on Thursday afternoon, three panes have been broken in the southern wing of the building. The school children had gone home before the''incident took place. - Residents in the vicinity stated that they Jfad not heard the sound of any shot, but had been considerably alarmed when the news reached them. Some believe that the window smashing was the work of larrikins, but many take a fibore setious view of the incident.
