WORLD’S GREATEST SPEED
BRITISH OFFICER’S PEAT. SCHNEIDER CUP PREPARATION. (Australian Press (Received 12.33 p.m.) LONDON, August 20. The world’s greatest speed was achieved by Flying-Officer Atcherley when the S 6 today reached an estimated maximum of 350 miles an hour at Calshot. It is uncertain whether the United States will be represented, as the American aeroplane has not yet proved adequacy of speed to make it worth while competing.
