INCREASED TAXATION
P ABATERS PERTURBED. (Per Press Association, —Copyright.) PAHIATUA, This Day. A meeting of farmers unanimously passed a resolution opposing tho mortgage exemption reduction, also the super tax-. It was further resolved that the executive take no action in regard to the primage duty as it affected all classes of the ■community. Tho latter was carried on the easting vote of the chairman. One speaker suggested that the Government 'should further tax banks and other financial institutions seeing that they had had a successful year and if the Government, got millions out of the farmer this time without a, protest it would try it again next year.
