ALLEGED THEFT
JURY FAILS TO AGREE. NEW TRIAL ORDERED. (Per Press Association.—Copyright.) HAMILTON, This Day. At the Supreme Court, the jury disagreed in the case of Vlademar Knight Vale, charged with stealing furniture from the residence of James Reid Stewart between December 1925 and December 192 b. Stewart was absent from home during 1926 when the goods disappeared. The missing property was recently found in accused’s house at Turiia. Accused had previously lived near Stewart at Morrinsiville. For the defence, the accused and his wife declared they had bought the goods from one named Young. A new trial was ordered.
