BIGGEST TRIAL IN HISTORY,
FOUR HUNDRED WITNESSES,
(Australian Press Association.) (Received 11.7 a.m.) DELHI, June 12. The biggest trial in the history of India has opened at Meerut. Thirtyone self-styled Communists, including two Englishmen, one of them a 'Cambridge graduate, are charged with a conspiracy to wage war against the King. The Court is strongly guarded. The accused!, who were escorted by armed police, entered shouting: “Down with Imperialism!’ ’ “Onward the revolution “ and other Red slogans. The trial is expected to last three months. There are nearly 400 wit,-' nesses.
