DETECTIVE BLOWN TO PIECES
CIVIL GUARDS INJURED
AX URIAH ATROCITY, 1 (Australian Press Association.) (Received 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, June 12. Air' O’Sullivan, a detective officer in the Irish Free State, was blown to pieces by a trap mine in County Cl a i r. The local Civil Guard received a note stating; that an arms dump had been found hidden in a haystack near the barracks. Mr O’Sullivan and two Civil Guards found a box, but a terrific explosion occurreVil as they opened it. Two other Civil Guards were badly injured.
