FREEHOLD TENURE RESTORED

The new Cabinet, in a. statement on land policy, says the Government intends to pass, legislation , encouraging land settlement development and production, and to restore the freeholds tenure to land where desired. Special encouragement will be given to experienced land men. ! A system of land classification will also be provided, with a. view to closer settlement, to commence forthwith. The dictatorial powers and restrictions imposed by successive Labour Governments are to be removed.
