ITINERARY DELAYED. (Special to “Northern Advocate.”) AUCKLAND, This Day. The Hon. W. B. Taverner, Minister of Railways and Commissioner of State Forests, visited the Riverhead afforestation area yeslterday and was later officially welcomed at a social ■function tendered by the Auckland bran eh of the United Party. The Minister bad arranged to leave for North Auckland this morning, but his visit has been postponed because Mr Taverner has contracted a cold which will prevent him travelling meanwhile. He will, therefore, remain in Auckland today and, if sufficiently recovered, will visit the Maramarua afforestation area tomorrow. It is possible" he will be able to proceed to Dargaville on Saturday and follow the itinerary previously planned on succeeding days.
