"MANAGEMENT committed 3 f MEETING. 1 : The usual weekly meeting of the 7 Management Committee of the 1 ngarei Rugby Union was held last . evening, Mr -C. F. Collins presidih| over an attendance of Messrs Thorpe, Richards, O’Shea, Macken, Powell) | Moresby, Malloy, Cohaghan, Bowdeh , and the secretary, Mr R, Worner. A letter was received from the Whangarei Association Football Club applying for use of grounds at Kensington Park, and later, Mr D. L. Smedley, as a delegate from the club, wag received. The chairman said that No. 2 ground was .being used by the ; union and No. 1 ground was out of use for •the season. The other grounds could be used. With regard to the ailochtion of gates, nothing definite, had been decided upon, and the chairman, said he understood that a conference of the Eogby, Association, League and Hockey bodies was being called to decide upon some system. The matter of providing a match (in response to a request) during, the. meeting of the National Dairy Association'' in Whangarei, was considered. Various suggestions wore put forward: as to the possibility of obtaining .an, Auckland team, as the match would be on Thursday and would not interfere., with the competitions, and. failing that/, securing a team from the Wairoa. Finally it was decided to' leave the matter in the hands of tile. Match Committee to arrange. . The chairman reported that the' dressing rooms and conveniences ’at Rugby Park were almost ; completed and would be ready for' use shortly. A request from the Referees ’ As'soeir . a’tion for a further contribution of £2 2s was granted, ■/; Several excellent trophies were viewed and a suitable selection made- for the seven-a-side tournament on June S.
