CHURCHES BENEFIT,
(Special to “Northern Advocate.”) AUCKLAND, This Day.
St. Andrew’s •Presbyterian Church, St. Matthew’s Anglican Church and the Leslie Presbyterian Orphanage will benefit to the extent of £I7OO under the terms of the will of Miss Charlotte M. McLachlan, aged 8;!, who died at Grafton Road on Thursday. Her will provides for £IOO for the Leslie Presbyterian Orphanage and similar sums for St. Matthew’s Church and the Maori Mission administered by the St. Andrew’s Church. The balance of the estate, amounting to £I4OO, goes to the St. Andrew’s Church. Miss MeLaehlan’s brother, the late John McLachlan, gave Cornwallis Park to the people of Auckland.
