land yesterday, butter was quoted as low as 164/ up to 170/, and cliocse at 88/ to 90/. The quotations for the few days previous ranged from IGS/ to 170/ for butter and 88/ to 90/ for choose. At the beginning of February, New Zealand butter ivas commanding up to 184/, but fell to 172/ at the beginning of March. Cheese prices have fluctuated in the period, forward purchases declining at one time to as low as 84/, The flooding of the market with early purchases and the arrival of heavy fresh stocks, cold weather and the influenza epide-
