DOMINION CONFERENCE. (Per Press Association. —Copyright.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. A Dominion conference of the Societies for the Protection of Women an 3 Children is being 'hold. It was decided to approach the Government for greater assistance; that the Child Endowment Bill be amended so that deserted wives may be eligible, as well as those women who have their husbands with them; that societies endeavour to obtain a similar pension for a wife with a permanently sick husband as a woman whoso husband is'in a mental hospital.
