Confirming the Pope's desire that the only residents of the Vatican State should he people indispensable to Vatican administration, Cardinal Gasparri on Saturday issued- an order formally rescinding all residential concessions and evicting all residents except those granted new concessions. Citizenship can only ho granted those permanently residing therein. Only ascendants, descendants and collateral relatives of such persons niay live ■with them, provided they 'have no families of their own. All others must seek quarters outside immediately. The Pope has- nominated a provdsidnal Government, pending ratification of the treaty, after which he TVill nominate the Governor, probably a prelate. He will also appoint a Commissioner of Works to deal with streets and buildings. Signor Marconi conferred with the Pope concerning the erection of a wireless station.
