BIG PLANT PEOJECTED.

An authoritative statement may be made soon in connection with the reported intention of Imperial Chemical Industries, Limited, to establish a £5,000,000 plant in Austrafy ia to manufacture synthetic ammonia and nitrates. One of the directors Sir C. Todhunter, is in Australia investigating, and may make his own decision on the spot. Inquiries elicited that the company regards Australia as one of the world’s biggest fields. Chemical development looms large in Lord Melehett’s mind.
