BUTTER PAY-OUTS

The Wh'angaroa Co-operative Dairy Company reports an increase of over five -tong of butter for November, making a total increase <of over 16 tons so far this season. The pay-out is at the rate of Is 4id per lb for finest butter-fat and Is 4,d for first grade. 'The peak period has been reached, but good showers have fallen recently, and the supply is expected to be maintained.

Cheques for the November supplies of butter-fat will be paid out by .'the Northern Wairoa Dairy Company, 'Ltd., on Thursday. The figures show a considerable increase on those for November last season., The. quantity of, butter-fa,t received also shows a substantial increase. The .supply now appears to be at its peak, but with the fine season being experienced the returns for the next two or (three months should remain steady. The production an ( cl payment figures are as follows: Butter-fat received November, 1028, 501,2101 b; November, 1927, 556,0701 b; increase, 34,2401 b; season to datei, 1,593,0691 b; isam'o period last year, 1,468,6761 b; increase, 124,3921 b. Pay-out.—November, 1928, at rate of Is 4d per lb, £39,728; November, 1927, at Is 3d £84,003; increase, £4825. Season to date, £107,456; same period last year, £92,724; increase, £14,621.

BIG- PAY-OUTS TOMORROW. Enquiries made today at the various butter factories contingent to Whangarei, discloses the pleasing information that the month of November tyas established a record for but-ter-fat. production and consequently the cheques receivable by tho various suppliers tomorrow will be larger than usual and come something in the nature of a welcome Christmas box. The figures for the Whangarei. factory are: Pay-out for November, 1925, £20,150 17s 7d at 1/5, as compared with £23,733 3s Od, at 1/4 for tile corresponding month : last year. Total pay-out for season to date, £73,578 16s 6d, as against £61,204 12s lid dor the similar period of last year. A message from HikuJrangli; discloses the fact that the factory there has established a recored. The actual figures are not available. This much Is certain, however that the record month, of November, 1920, when 2/S per lb was paid, has been eclipsed.

RECORD AT WAIPU. Last month’s payout for butter-fat •by the Waipu Dairy Company constituted a .record in the' history of that organisation. It amounted to £OOI7 Or* (id, compared with £5048 4s dS for November, 1027, both being at the same rate of Is 4d. >
