DEATHS DECREASE. (Per Press Association. —Copyright.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The following vital statistics are published in the Gazette; — The total live births registered for urban areas amounted to 1054, as against 1078 jn August, a decrease of 24, Deaths in September were 315, a decrease of 87 as compared with the previous month. Of the total deaths, males contributed 316 and females 299. 'Seventy of the deaths; were of children under five years of age,.being 11.3.4 per cent, of the whole number. Fifty-six of these were under one year of ago.
