LEGAL COMMITTEE'S REPORT Contained in the Legal Committee’s report, which was adopted by the Wbangarei Harbour Board yesterday, were the following references to current matters of interesa:— Inspection of Properties.—An inspection was made of the areas recently vested in the board at Otaika and Oakleigh, and also of the old wharf at the latter place, and it is recom- . mended that the engineer be authorised to remove from the unused portion of this wharf any. timber that may be useful for other' harbour works. Harbour Leases.—The secretary was instructed to prepare conditions and call for tenders for the leasing of two acres fronting Lower Cameron Street extension, seven acres at Morningside and one. and u quarter acres at Otaika. The question of the occupation and gorse-clearing of part of the Otaika landing reserve was left in the hands of the chairman, Whangarci Heads Wharf.—The engineer having reported that the Whangaroi Hoads wharf required urgent repairs, the committee authorised the carrying out of the necessary work.
