CAIRO TO CAPE
FAMjODB MOTOEIN6 FEAT. (Australian Press Association.) , (Received 12.17 p.xn.) CAPETOWN - , October 10. A young South. African, Mr Gerry Bouwer, with his wife, completed a motor trip from Cairo to Capetown in 40 days. Against his wish, his wife stowed away in the car at Cairo. Thousands participated in a wild welcome to him. The Administrator stressed the fact that they had accomplished a feat which many considered impossible. In South Africa .there had been several famous rides, and this was one of the most famous. Mr Bouwer sai's that in a few years a great north road would be open.
