THIRTEEN FATALITIES,
(Australian Press Association.) (Received 10.40 a.m.) DELHI, June 30,
Ten persons are dead and many injured as the result of a riot between Hindus and Moslems during a Moslem Mohurrum procession at Khargpur, near Calcutta. The Moslems were carrying an image past a Sikh temple when the procession was attacked by the latter. Armed police and troops were called out and quiet was restored, but later the Moslems beat a Hindu coolie to death with rods. A fierce fight ensued between the communities, eight being killed outright. In a fresh outbreak five were hilled, including two women.
