STRUCK BY FALLING IRON, e While crossing the street in front of a building a pedestrian dropped a tin in the roadway. His attention was drawn to it by a passer-by. He returned to the scene just as a sling of iron overhead overbalanced. Shouts of warning came from every hand. The man hesitated, momentarily confused, half moved to lift his tin —too late! A falling piece of iron crashed heavily down and his tin of Bears’ Tobacco was totally destroyed. Fortunately Bears’ pure Virginia leaf costs only 8d an ounce loose, or Is Gd for a handy pocket tin containing two ounces. Try this delicious smoke. Sold at all tobacconists. 51
