The "Daily Telegraph’' is informed that the Athenie has been purchased by Mr A. Jahre, chairman of the Whaling Company of Norway, and will be converted into a whaler for use in South Pblar seas.
Her transformation will occupy throe months, at a cost, of £IOO,OOO. She wilt start her new career at the earliest moment with a crew of 200,
