PLEADS GUILTY TO EIGHT

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day,

At the Magistrate’s Court, Henry Patrick Moore, aged 38, pleaded guilty to eight charges of * breaking and entering various houses early this month and committing theft. The police said that accused travelled around as a tinker. To gain entrance he broke headlights over doors or windows and then loosened the catch. In all, he had taken £IOO worth of goods and jewellery from the eight houses. He was caught in the act in a Sydenham house. Moore was committed for sentence. Bail was not applied for. —Press Assn.
