AN INTERESTING STORY DISTRIBUTING THE “ADVOCATE” MODERN METHODS EXPLAINED. The distribution of the “Northern Advocate is an interesting story in itself. The modern methods applied to effect delivery that the means of transport in North Auckland today are equal to those of any other part of the Dominion. During recent years vast improvements have been effected in both our railway and reading system, the result being that the “Northern Advocate’’ is now able to bring within its circulation area the residents of a vast territory that hitherto had to depend upon the postal authorities for the distribution of mail matter. USE OF THE RAILWAY. By the North-bound railway which leaves Whangarei after three o’clock daily, the “Northern Advocate” is delivered to our Agents in every settlement from WHANGAREI TO BUSSELL, includingWhakapara, Hukerenui, Towai, Maromaku, Otiria, Moerewa, Kawakawa and Opua. The South-bound train, leaving at 3.0 p.m., is the means by which our Agents between WHANGAREI AND WAlOTlßA—Portland, Oakleigh, Mangapai, Tauraroa and Waiotira—-also receive tho “Northern Advocate” for distribution to subscribers on the night of issue. Settlers on the whole length of railway FROM WAIOTIRA TO RUSSELL,' a stretch of over SO miles, are therefore enabled to read the “Advocate” on the night of issue. SERVICE CARS. In a similar manner Service Cars leaving Whangarei at 3.30 p.m. distribute the “Northern Advocate” to subscribers along the routes travelled, viz.: WHANGAREI TO WAIPU. WHANGAREI TO KIRIKOPUNI. WHANGAREI TO MAN6AKAHIA, and in tho Summer Months, to KAIKOHE. WHANGAREI TO KAMO. WHANGAREI TO lIIKURANGI. OTIRIA TO OHAEAWAI. To those who live in districts not served by railway or service ears, the Post Office is used for distribution purposes. CIRCULATION.
