All the victims of the Haig pit (Cumberland) disaster, in which 13 member® of an inspection party lost thedr lives> were married.
TPhe survivors state that the fourth blast half stunned them, and they had to cover two miles guided by a solitary lamp. They had to grope and crawl most of the way.
All the rescuers have been withdrawn as the roof has fallen in, and the mine has been resealed. —A.P.A, and Sun.
