DISTURBANCES RENEWED. ♦ POLICE CALLED IN. i SCENE AT ST. CUTHBERT’S, ' (Received 9 a.m.) LONDON, January 29. The Darwen disturbances have resumed and culminated in riotous scenes after the service at' St, Cuthbert 's, necessitating police protecting the vicar and curate from a crowd of 2000 which held up traffic while the police barred the road. Personal conflicts marked the service, after the interrupters had sung hymns and crowded eucharists. The vicar called in the police, who took names, while the clergy and choir, took refuge in the vestry, the protestors chanting the National Anthem.—A.P.A. and *Sun.-
