Third League | (south)—Bristol, City of Plymouth, i Argyle, Millwall, Brighton and Hove 1 Swindon Town and Crystal Palace; ; (north) —Stoke, City of Rochdale, Bradford, Halifax Town, Nelson and Stockport County. i Promotions are Second League to First —Middlesborough and Portsmouth. Third to Second —Bristol City and Stoke City. Relegations are: First to Second —West Bromwich, Albion and Leeds City. Second to Third —Darlington and Bradford City.
