FOR DEATH OF lIESPAND. AWARDED £BO7. INVERCARGILL, This Day. At the Supreme Court. Lucy Charlotte Witty, a -widow, elniined from the Southland County Council £ISOO damages for the death of her husband, who was struck by a. motor car driven by a seiwant of the corporation, John Guy Dennison, who has since left the Dominion. Witty was cycling at night on his right side of the road when ho was run dowrr, and plaintiff contended that the damage to Dennison corresponded with what could be expected from such a collision. The jury awarded £BO7 with costs. .—Press Assn,
