The following are the results of the remaining events on the first day of the Southland Racing Club’s autumn meeting: —
Roslyn Hack Handicap, of 150 sovs; six furlongs,—(B) Frivol 8.9, 1; (7) Takaka 7.10, 2; (3) Soldiers’ Hope, 9.0, 3. All started. Time—l.lß 4-5.
Wavcrley Saddle Trot, of 210 sovs; one mile and a half.—(9) Spring Chimes, 96yds, I; (14) Lingfleld; 108 yds, 2; (4) Miss Adonis, 36yds, 3, Lady Freeman was scratched. Won by half a length, third horse a head further away. Time—3.36 2-5.
Flying Handicap, of 250 sovs; six furlongs.—(s) Eaton Bella, 7.4, 1; (2) Receipt, 8.9, 2; (3) Rob, 7.0, 3. Comic Song and Mime were scratched. Won by a length and a quarter. Time —1.16 2-5.
Invercargill Trot (harness), of 200 soys; one mile and a half.—(l4) Sunshower, 84yds, 1; (15) Boy Blue, 12 yds, 2; (2) Young Bingen, ser, 3. Berma Pointer, Nan Brent, White ■ Sun and John Logan were scratched. Won by a length, six lengths between seeand and third. Time—3.4o.
Southland Cup, of 400 so vs; one mile and a quarter.—(2) Full Swing, 7.4, 1; *(1) Circulation, 8.3, 2; (3) Bilbo, 7.3, 3. All started. Won by, a length, two and a half lengths between second and third. Time—2.l3.
Southland Steeplechase, of 275 sovs; about three miles.—(2) Scamp, 9.9, 1; (1) Tula, 11.13, 2; (5) Vice Grand, 9.0, 3. All started. Won by ten lengths. Time—6.l9 1-5.
