SHOW MEETING. (From Our Own Correspondent.) A meeting of the show committee was held in the Supper Room on Saturday, April 2, at S p.iu., and, in spite of several showers falling during the evening, there was a good attendance. This meeting had been postponed on two occasions owing to stormy weather. Prize money passed for payment amounted to £i)S 10/, and Special prizes to the value of £lO 2/0 were also allotted.

The secretary stated that Air Foster, of AVhangarci, who so kindly donated a cup for the Champion Hack tliis year, had offered to donate cither a cash prize or a. cup for the Champion Hunter next year, provided th,• association erected proper hurdles. It was decided to leave this matter to the incoming committee. Air H. K. May, one of the judges, had asked the secretary , to thank those responsible for the excellent manner in which judges and stewards were treated on show day. After seme discussion, it was decided to bold the annual dinner on April 21, the annual meeting to be held at 2 p.m. the same day. The secretary, Air R. Brigham., stated that he had not been, appointed secretary, but he had promised to carrv on in his late father’s place until the show was over. He would do so until the annual meeting, but regretted that he would have to hand over then. Unlike Air Dawson, who resigned the position sonic time ago, he was unable to suggest anyone to take his place and t(he committee was reminded that it must look out for a successor.

TRIP TO WHAKAPARA

Air E. V. Ralls .organised a trip to the AVhakapara Bachelor’s Ball on Friday, April ,1. The ; lorry was driven by Air G. Rhodes, but few made the trip.
