TOLL OF THE MOTOR
TWO AUCKLAND ACCIDENTS. (Special to “Northern Advocate.”) AUCKLAND, This Day. A serious accident occurred at the corner of Dominion Eoad and King Edward Street about 8 o'clock last evening. Miss Eruiee Comesky, aged 28, residing at Grange Eoad, Mount Eden, sustained very severe injuries through being struck by a motor car while stepping on a tram. Miss Comeskcy was rendered unconscious and when admitted to the Auckland Hospital she was found to be suffering from injuries to the head and abrasions.
At an early hour this morning it was reported that the condition of the patient was critical; Miss Comeskcy was formerly a nurse in the Auckland Hospital. Slight injuries were received hy Douglas Clayton, aged eight years, through being knocked down by a motor car in the Great North Road, New Lynn, about 4 o’clock yesterday, afternoon. The child, who stepped from behind a motor bus, was struck by a car. He was removed to the Auckland Hospital where he was found to be suffering from abrasion's.

Francis Joseph Kenney, a single man, aged 24, when riding on the step of a lorry, driven by Gerald Flynn, between Waipipi and Wainku, was thrown off as the vehicle rounded a corner ami seriously injured. He died within a few minutes. —Press Assn.
