WHANGAREI TOURNAMENT. The Whangaroi Bowling Club’s annual tournament was continued on Saturday afternoon, the weather fortunately remaining fljne, enabling Rounds 11. and 111. to bo completed. A lot of commendation is due to Mr P. Judd for the splendid managements, under which the tournament is being conducted. This is more particularly applicable to the various draws, which have called forth unstinted expressions of satisfaction.

TODAY’S PLAY. Proceedings commenced this morning under adverse weather conditions, light misty rain falling and the atmosphere being exceptionally humid. At 10 o’clock a general improvement was evident and there was some prospect of the day being fine. The greens sodden as a result of the heavy rain over the week-end and had deteriorated considerably, extra strength being required to reach the head.
