SYDNEY, This Day.
The annual congress of the Australian Workers' Union defeated a motion to have the policy of the organisation changed to direct action in sation changed from arbitration to direct action in order to redress workers ’ grievances. It was decided by an overwhelming majority to leave any disputes to be settled by the arbitration court. —A. and N.Z.
