Gibson, said the impracticability | of this being done would be seen when jhe mentioned that since he came into office new awards had added a million sterling to the department’s wages j bill. He said that if Australia’s tele(phone charges were the same as made ]by private companies in the United j States the revenue to the department j would be three millions greater than I now.—A. and N.Z.
