BODY NOTICES I BOROUGH OP WHANGAEEI EATEvS PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Whangarei Borough Council, in pursuance and exercise of the powers under section 77, 84, 89, 91, 95 and 98 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1920, sections 48 to 55 of the Eating Act 1008, section 41 of the Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act 1909, i sections 20, 21 and 22 of the Local j Bodies’ Loans Act 1913, the N.Z. State I Guaranteed Advances Act .1909, and sections 4 and 5 of the Whangarei Borough. Empowering Act 1918, and all j amendments thereof respectively and of every other power it enabling intends at its meeting to bo held on MONDAY, the fifth day of July, 1926, to make and levy the following rates and fees: — lOVEE THAT PORTION OP THE BOROUGH OP WHANGAEEI CON- | TAINED WITHIN THE BOUN- ! DAEIES IN FOECE AS AT 31ST MAECH, 1923. A CONSOLIDATED EATE of 6d in the pound in lieu of the following: General Bate of 2 101/120d in the pound. Library Bate of id in the pound. Hospital Bate of 11/15(1 in the pound. Annual recurring Special Bates totalling 2 9/30d in the pound to provide interest and sinking fund charges on Loans. OVER THOSE PORTIONS OF THE BOROUGH OF WHANGAEEI KNOWN AS THE WHANGAREI BOROUGH EXTENSIONS, 1923, AS DEFINED IN GAZETTE NO. 84 OF THE 16TH NOVEMBER, 1922. A CONSOLIDATED BATE of 43d in the pound in lieu of the following: General Rate of 2 101/120d in the pound. Library Rate of id in the pound. Hospital Rate of 11/lorl in the pound. Annual recurring Special Rates totalling 4/5d in the pound to provide Interest and Sinking Fund charges on Loans. OVEE THE WHOLE OP THE BOROUGH OF WHANGAREI. WATER RATES AND CHARGES—(a) Ordinary supply (1) upon all lands and buildings to which water is supplied:—A Rate of one penny in the pound with a maximum of £2 and a minimum of 10/-. ' (2) Upon all lands and buildings to which /water can be, but is not supplied, situate within one hundred yards from any part of the waterworks: —A Rate of one half-penny in tho pound with a maximum of £1 and a minimum of 5/-. (b) The water charges for extraordinary supply as fixed by sections 746 and 748 of the Whangarei Borough By-laws No. 1 and sections ’3 and 4 of the Whangarei Borough By-law No. 4. SANITATION. (Refuse removal fee): A uniform' sanitation fee of 7/6 for each property having a building thereon and served by the refuse removal service. A sanitation fee for business premises in accordance with the service performed.
