At yesterday's meeting of the Whangarei Harbour Board, the question of control of the foreshoe at Onerahi was again. brought up. The chairman pointed out that tho Harbour Board had no legal power to vest the foreshore, lying between Kaiwaka Point and Stevens' Point, in the. Onerahi Town Board. Any application for such control should be made jdircct to the Marine Department; and it was doubtful whether sueh a request would be acceded to, as the Department was | not disposed to part with Crown rights. It was resolved to inform the Onerahi] j Town Board accordingly. j
